Apparently people in Vermont like to do things their own way, because he refuses to let someone professionally install it. This is not a money thing, it is an ego thing. Not to imply all people living in Vermont have egos, only those directly related to me. So in order to help my uncle I put together some ‘do it yourself’ tips on installing satellite tv equipment. You then must decide where you want to mount your dish, clear of any trees for optimal service. Estimate your cable needs, then assemble the dish. Mount and level the mass and then finish assembly of the dish. Route the cables to the grounding box, then from the grounding box to the house. Make the final connection to your receiver and then order your programming. Sound easy enough? Well it is a lot more complicated than it sounds, but with the step by step installation guide, it should be no problem. That is, unless you are my uncle from Vermont.
