Hello,

I have a dish 522 dvr system and am real happy with it. I wanted to know if it is possible to add a 3rd tv to the system. I was thinking of simply splitting the signal on the VHF/UHF and feeding it to 2 tvs, and picking up a UHF remote. When I tried this only 1 tv works. Am I missing something or living in fantasyland?

Thanks a bunch

    billyd,

On the back of the 522 DVR you will see a set of ports and the outline around them will read “Home Distribution”. In that set of ports you will also notice one of them is a cable hook-up.

The cable coming from that port is the one that goes to your second TV. That is the wire you want to hook-up to the splitter. Make sure the splitter is rated for satellite. If i remember correctly it should be 900mhz minimum.

Let me know if you are still having problems after you do this. If you are then you need to be sure your splitter is good and hooked up correctly.
