Who is Best for 5 or 6 tv’s - Dish or Direct ?

I live in Williamsburg and presently use cox regular TV and Cox for my computer, my tellphone is not Cox.

My questions are:

The difference between Dish Network and Direct TV.
I have 5 TV’s what extra cost would this be
I want the Golf channel and football channel mainly.
What would I do for my Computer.

Hi Dave, It looks to me like you would want DIRECTV for Williamsburg.

This is why,

First:
You mentioned the Football Channel. If you mean The NFL Sunday Ticket, then Direct tv is the ONLY provider that can deliver that channel. Now DISH Network does have The Fox Sports Channel that will deliver your areas football games and they have ESPN Game Plan that delivers Collage Football. They Both provide the Golf Channel.

Second You want five TV’s hooked up:
DISH Network will give you four receivers FREE but for the Fifth they will charge you about $270.00 (not really a good deal).

DIRECTV will give you four receivers for Free and only Charge you $49.00 for the fifth receiver.

On the fifth TV you could also split one of your receiver cables to the fifth TV and save the cash. It depends on how all these TV’s are used.

Another thing to consider is the DVR and TiVo. Dish Network will give you the DVR 510 for Free and Direct TV will charge you $99.00 but give you a $50.00 mail in rebate with your first bill.

Your Computer:
If you are now using it with cable then your computer itself is ok, but you still need a receiver to watch satellite tv. If you split one of your receivers that would take care of it. Or if you purchased a sixth receiver then it would be $49.00 for DIRECTV and $160 for DISH Network.

So, say you went with DIRECTV, this is how it would break down.
Four Receivers including installation. $0.00 add Tivo $50.00 (after rebate) = $50.00
Five Receivers with installation. $49.00 add Tivo $50.00 (after rebate) = $99.00
Six Receivers with installation. $98.00 add Tivo $50.00 (after rebate) = $148.00

Say you went with DISH Network
Four Receivers including installation. $0.00 add DVR $0.00 = $0.00
Five Receivers with installation. $270.00 add DVR $00.00 (after rebate) = $270.00
Six Receivers with installation. $435.00 add DVR $0.00 (after rebate) = $435.00

In my opinion DISH Network is the best deal when you want four receivers or less, but ounce you start adding a fifth and sixth receiver then they are a little high.
